JESSE JIRON / WHY I’M BUILDING JOA

Good people.
Bigger futures.

I’m Jesse. I’m building JOA for people who want to get better at what they do, move up, and help their team do the same. Food manufacturing is our world. This is where we’re putting our energy.

HERE’S WHAT I WANT TO BUILD

You want to move up.
Let’s help you get there.

I want JOA to be the place people in food manufacturing come to learn, build their confidence, and find their next opportunity.

And I want companies to come here for the same reason: good people. Help the team you have get stronger. Find people who fit the work. Give them a reason to stay and grow.

THE WAY WE LEADA few things I believe. Tap to explore.
01Listen.Your team has something to say.

The people doing the job know a lot about what’s working and what isn’t. I think a good leader makes time to hear them.

WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE

Ask what’s making the job harder. Let them finish. If you can help, do something about it. If you can’t, tell them why.

02Trust.Give people a chance to step up.

People need a chance to make decisions. They also need to know you’re there when they need help.

WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE

Be clear about what they can decide and when to bring you in. Then give them room to do the job.

03Develop.Make time to help someone grow.

If we want stronger teams, we have to put time into people. Show them. Let them try. Help them work out what to do differently.

WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE

Have the conversation. Give feedback they can use. Check back in. That’s the kind of support I want JOA to help leaders give.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I know this industry.
I care where it goes.

I’ve spent more than 15 years in operations, including eight as a plant manager. I have an MBA and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and I’m working toward my DBA.

We’re still building JOA, and I want to get it right. Useful learning. Better opportunities. A place that people in food manufacturing actually want to come back to.
